Thigh Lift

The thigh lift addresses similar issues as its counterpart, the upper extremity, specifically the extra tissue and hanging skin.  Unfortunately, these issues cannot be corrected with diet and exercise alone.  Patients who have had significant weight loss find themselves feeling self-conscious and understandably frustrated with the amount of extra skin and tissue that may exist throughout including the thighs.  Various techniques are utilized including liposuction with or without direct excision or removal of extra skin.  Incisions may be placed in the groin crease alone or may include the inner thigh.

Technique

Outpatient surgery.

Liposuction alone with VASER can be all that is needed.

If there is excess skin, then a traditional incision along the groin or may include an incision on the inner thigh. The length of the incision depends on the amount of extra skin is present.
